A profitable tender can still kill your cash flow.
Find the hidden funding gap before you quote. BidShield connects BOQ line margins with client payment delays, retention, TDS withholding and working-capital stress — without uploading a document or buying software.
Your BOQ, your assumptions.

A monthly, uniform-progress scenario. Replace estimates with your real schedule and payment clauses.
Liquidity over time
Net cash if every month finishes at uniform progress; month 0 includes advance.
Negative balance means additional funding is required. The timeline extends until modeled retention is released.

Profit is not liquidity.
1. Margin by line
Every BOQ amount is quantity × quoted unit rate. Estimated direct cost is quantity × cost rate. Negative-margin lines and cost-heavy items are called out before you submit a bid.
2. Timing matters
For illustration, the model spreads work and cost uniformly over the project. Monthly bills are collected after your selected client delay, net of modeled retention, TDS withholding and advance recovery. Retention is released separately after completion.
3. Funding beats paper profit
The lowest cumulative cash balance determines the peak base funding gap. Stress adds the chosen cost overrun and extra client delay. You compare that funding need (plus buffer) with money you can actually access.
4. Keep deductions distinct
TDS withholding is tracked as a cash deduction, not a final income-tax expense. TDS recovery is not modeled. GST cash flows, financing interest, advance guarantees, labour/vendor-specific terms and retention disputes are excluded: confirm them separately.
Important limitations: This is a simplified educational scenario, not engineering certification, a bid recommendation, accounting, legal or tax advice. It assumes an even monthly work curve, the same supplier credit timing for all direct costs, no GST, no financing charges, no performance guarantee margin, full collection of billed amounts and full retention release at the date entered. Real contract terms can materially change results. Do not use it as the sole basis for a tender.
