JSON to CSV Converter.

Turn a JSON array of records into a spreadsheet-friendly CSV file. Preview, copy, or download it. Your data stays in your browser.

No signup. No API key. Nested fields are flattened into columns. Text cells that could trigger spreadsheet formulas are prefixed with an apostrophe.

Supports up to 5,000 rows, 80 unique columns and 2 MB of JSON text. Complex nested arrays are retained as JSON strings inside a cell.

Convert your data

Paste a JSON array containing objects, such as a list of contacts, products, or transactions. Conversion runs locally on your device.

How to convert JSON into CSV

  1. Paste a valid JSON array. Each element must be an object, such as {"name":"Asha","age":25}.
  2. Click Convert to CSV to create a header row from the available keys, including keys that appear only in later records.
  3. Review the preview, then copy the CSV or download it as a UTF-8 file for Excel, Google Sheets or another spreadsheet program.

Nested object example

The object {"name":"Asha","location":{"city":"Jaipur"}} becomes two columns: name and location.city. Missing values in other records become empty CSV cells.

What this converter handles

Commas and quotation marks: CSV values containing commas, double quotes or line breaks are quoted and escaped, so names and notes survive export.

Spreadsheet formula protection: Strings beginning with =, +, - or @, including leading whitespace, receive a protective apostrophe. This is a mitigation, not a guarantee across every spreadsheet importer.

Nulls, arrays and nested data: Null and missing fields are blank; nested objects become dotted keys; arrays are stored as JSON text in one cell.

Limits: Duplicate JSON keys may be overwritten by the browser's JSON parser. Ambiguous flattened keys are rejected. The tool is not a JSON schema validator, and does not convert an arbitrary JSON object or nested arrays of records automatically.
