Randomness is more important than a clever pattern
Human-made passwords often follow familiar sequences, names and substitutions that attackers can predict. This generator draws randomness from the browser's cryptographic source rather than choosing from a short list of phrases. Select a length and character categories; longer, random passwords are typically harder to guess. The tool doesn't save your output to a website account.
Protect the password after generation
Creating a strong string is only one part of account security. Give every important account its own password, store it in a trusted password manager, and enable multifactor authentication where available. Some sites restrict particular symbols or maximum lengths; adjust the categories as required without reusing an old password. Never paste generated passwords into public chats or untrusted forms.
Example workflow
For a site that permits it, select 20 characters with lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols. Generate a new password, save it to your password manager and avoid displaying it during screen sharing.
